Game Of Thrones prequel House Of The Dragon to officially begin production next year with concept art sharing
It looks like Game Of Thrones fans will have another take on the Kingdom of Westeros.
On Thursday, it was announced via the show’s official Twitter account that production of its prequel House Of The Dragon is set to begin in 2021.
The announcement also came with two concept art images from the production team depicting two dragons, one with a full body and the other with just a head.

The development of the prequel was first reported by Deadline, and it was noted that series creator George RR Martin and Colony co-creator Ryan Condal would helm the new show, along with Michael Sapochnik.
The story of House Of The Dragon would be built on an original idea from Ryan Cogman, who was executive producer of the initial series.
The 72-year-old writer’s prequel novel Fire And Blood, released in 2018, is also named as part of the series’ source material.

The show’s first season is slated to run for 10 episodes, and writing was reported to begin in January, with a casting search starting in July; the show is scheduled to arrive tentatively in 2022.
WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar shared an update on the set of the project during his statement regarding the company’s collaboration with HBO Max on Thursday, and said principal photography is due to begin in a few months.
The show will be set in the same world as the original series, albeit 300 years earlier, and will follow the portrayal of House Targaryen’s rise to power in Westeros.
