UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson is required to be the central visitor at 2021 Republic day with Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially welcoming him during their November 27 telephonic discussion.
Prior in November, acting British High Commissioner to India, Jan Thompson, said Boris Johnson will before long make an 'face to face' visit to India.
She stated, "We are expecting UK Foreign secretary Dominic Raab will be paying an in-person visit to India in the following not many months. Past that, PM Boris Johnson is incredibly quick to come to India. So we trust, throughout the following not many months, we will visit, by both FS Raab and PM Johnson."
The visit, starting at now, will be the first in-person visit of any head of government to India. Significant level actual visits have been suspended worldwide because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The last world pioneer to visit India was the President of Myanmar Win Myint and US President Donald Trump in February.
