The end of depression is suicide
Ahmedabad-based psychologist Dr. Deepti Joshi says that the end of depression is suicide. WHO also believes this. According to Dr. Deepti, the ability to use intelligence in a person suffering from depression is lost.
Now the question arises how such a thing like depression is spreading so fast in Indian society. Shikha Sharma, an assistant professor and psychologist at Gitanjali Hospital in Udaipur, Rajasthan, considers the society responsible for this. She says that there is no awareness and acceptance in our society. This is why people ignore it.
Depression is not madness
According to Shikha, depression in our society associates depression with insanity. Even if someone has gone to the doctor, he is considered insane. Nobody understands what depression is? If someone has stress or anxiety, then they also tell depression. While Doctor Deepti states that depression is not insanity, because people go unaryalistic due to having camil imbalance while mad.
A person is not able to express his / her problems due to social pressure
Depression cases have also increased due to social pressure. Doctor Shikha says that in our society, so many qualities of a person are counted that even if someone is suffering, he is unable to tell.
Shikha says that if seen from the point of view of children, from childhood, the child is told to pamper that you can do this and that can be done. In such a situation, the child is unable to express himself due to the pressure of the parents.
Doctor Deepti also considers the pressure of parents as the only reason. She says that children do not know how much pressure and how much spreader is right.
How does depression start?
According to Dr. Deepti, during depression there are two types of changes in a person's thinking. On the one hand we feel mentally bad or unhappy, on the other hand we become very slow physically.
Helplessness: In this, the person feels very weak and feels that he cannot do anything. Apart from this, they do not even have an idea to express themselves.
Hopeless (despair): People struggling with depression are surrounded by a lot of despair about their future. If nothing good has happened in their life for a long time, then they feel that the time ahead will be bad and it will all go on like this.
Why don't people help such a person?
Deepti says that there has been a wave of positive in our society. In such a situation, when someone takes his trouble to someone, before listening, people start giving him advice and ask him to be positive.
He told that in such a situation the person is not able to feel connected. He feels that no one understands me. They feel that whatever the front person is thinking about me, I am not able to do, maybe there will be something missing in me.
Encourage new thinking
According to Dr. Deepti, do not give unnecessary advice to the patient, stay with them and tell them that we are with you. Discuss their condition. Ask them instead of giving your advice. Encourage them to form their thinking. After a while, when people start connecting with you, then advise them.-Published by The Beyond News.
