Riya is in Mumbai's Byculla jail for the fourth day today after his second bail application in the Sushant Singh Rajput case was rejected. The last three nights he slept without a fan. Following the shock from the sessions court, Riya's lawyer may file a special appeal for bail in the high court today. Meanwhile, the Narcotics Control Bureau has raided five places in Mumbai and Goa and arrested two people based on the statements of those arrested in the case. Proceedings are still ongoing.
According to jail sources, Riya has been kept in a barracks without a ceiling fan or bed for security reasons. He sleeps on the mat and is given only a blanket and sheet. He will be given a table fan if the court allows. Currently no pillow has been given to him. Indrani Mukherjee is in the barracks next to him. The barracks has two constables on 24-hour duty in three shifts.
